Community Involvement At the New York Fed, we are proud to be an active partner in the community through approximately 20 employee volunteer efforts a year that span high school mentoring and coaching, food and supply drives, financial awareness and education, and other community outreach projects. Volunteer programs enable us to give back to the local community and foster a sense of camaraderie amongst those who participate.
The New York Fed actively promotes a range of volunteer opportunities through the following Bank-sponsored programs: High School Mentoring Program The Fed's mentoring program pairs a caring adult and a high school student in need of guidance. Foundation, this program facilitates one-on-one reading relationships between volunteers and elementary school students.
Volunteers read to a student once a week during their lunch hour. The Bank has a reading relationship with PS in Chinatown. Our outreach goes even further.
Moreover, our clinics and forums provide diabetes charity for local homeowners and small businesses. Related New York Fed Content.
